Another season, another winner...

This is a bit late, but I was busy yesterday, so here it is in case you missed it. McKey, the leggy, quirky boxer/martial arts girl took home the title and grand prize as cycle 11's winner of "America's Next Top Model." Whoo hoo! (And here's my personal fav photo of McKey.)

I was rooting for that girl. When it was down to top 10, I had already pegged McKey as the winner. (She had never been in the bottom two, AND the judges rarely had anything negative to say about her. Except Paulina stating her walk was a bit lurch-like.)

McKey's strong, statuesque body was a sure bet for the title, sending Sam home in second place and a disappointed Analeigh in third. But all three cycle 11 finalists gave a good fight, starting with a difficult Cover Girl shoot, during which the contestants had to recite tongue-twisting lines in Dutch and English by memory. Analeigh, who's usually charming on camera and quite the little actress experienced a total brain-freeze and Jay had to feed her the lines, possibly costing her a chance at top two.

So the ferocious finale consisted of Sam and McKey going neck-and-neck for the title, contract and 100 grand. The finalists faced a tremendous hot pink runway that had endless curves, steps and hills, all designed by Jay. Talk about a cuh-razy runway! Even the world's most famous models wouldn't want to attempt that catwalk.

In the end, Tyra and Nigel agreed that’s Mckey’s face was fierce, her runway attitude was awesome and her poses were perfect. And though the panel questioned McKey’s “star quality” for a second, they couldn’t get over her amazing body, her dramatic height and her ultra-chic essence.
