Get a head start on holiday fun - and philanthropy - with a Christmas Open House and Cruize-In on Saturday in the village of Driver.

Rio Grande Traders will host an open house and serve free chili throughout the day while t he other shops in town will be open for holiday shopping. But first you'll have to tear yourself away from the dozens of classic vintage vehicles expected to line the village streets.

"If you've got an old car, bring it out," Ronnie Gould, co-owner of Rio Grande Traders, said about the car show that requires no registration or fees.

Santa Claus also will be on hand for photo opportunities and to hear holiday wishes.

Visitors can stop by Rio Grande Traders and try their luck at winning a prize on the Driver Twister - a roulette-type of game that father and son team Ronnie and Jason Gould hope will raise a stocking full of money for the Jacob Butler fund.

Jacob Butler, a local toddler stricken with leukemia, is the son of Cameron Butler, secretary of Berea Congregational Christian Church, which sits adjacent to Rio Grande Traders.
