I'm thinking...
I'm seriously thinking about going back to checks instead of using my debit card. Trouble is, I don't have any checks (that's how long it's been since I wrote one.)
Been there, done that
It does suck if you are hurting for money (or aching to spend it). Keeping an accurate check register and using that as the document of record for how much money you have solves the problem. It takes some discipline in these days of ATM cards as pocket money though.
