A former Chanello’s Pizza worker is being sought by police on charges of robbery and wearing a mask in public for allegedly robbing a pizza restaurant last week.
After developing leads in the case, investigators identified Steven Michael Skimko, 28, as the masked man who approached the only employee at Chanello’s in the 6600 block of Indian River Road and brandished a large serrated knife Nov. 10. The suspect demanded money from the cash register and ran through the back door of the restaurant.
Skimko, of the 3600 block of Cornick Ave. in Chesapeake, is described as being white, 6-foot-2 with brown hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to call Virginia Beach Crime Solvers at 888-LOCK-U-UP.
