Norfolk police look for man in connection with shooting

NORFOLK

Police are looking for a man in connection with a shooting Friday night.

The shooting happened about 10:45 p.m. in the 3800 block of E. Princess Anne Road, police said. Officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, whose identity has not been released, was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in critical condition.

Police have warrants on file for James Dominic Banks, 29, of the 900 block of Rugby St., for malicious wounding, use of a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Banks is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall and 160 pounds with brown eyes. He is considered armed and dangerous, police said.
