Norfolk Collegiate 66, King’s Fork 64

 

Sophomore center Markel Smith burned the No. 7 Bulldogs for 22 points and 21 rebounds in Lady Greyhound action Friday.

 

The Oaks (5-2) never trailed in the fourth quarter as Andrea Paphites and Mary Kelly made six free throws in the final minutes.

 

StoneBridge 52, Norview 32

 

Sarah Tabb riddled the Pilots with a season-high 18 points and Caitlyn Unsworth chipped in 17 as the Cavaliers (9-1) rolled in the Lady Greyhound Holiday Classic.

 

The victors face Booker T. Washington today at 5 p.m.

 

Booker T. Washington  51, Menchville 48

 

The No. 9 Bookers rallied from a seven-point halftime deficit to topple the Monarchs of the Peninsula District in the Lady Greyhound event.

 

Kiara Walker paced the victors with 13 points, while Renita Walton contributed 12. 

 

Wilson 68, Landstown 46

Eulandra Forrest dominated for the No. 10 Presidents (4-3) with 25 points and 21 rebounds in Lady Greyhound action.

 

Norcom 60,  Hickory 36

 

Jazmine Walker’s 22 points led all scorers as the Greyhounds romped in their own tournament.

 

The victors also got strong efforts from Valerie Creecy with 16 points and Nikera Brown with 14. 

 

Salem 49, Oscar Smith 46

 

In another Lady Greyhound outing, Samiah Griffin scored nine of her 11 points in the fourth quarter, helping the SunDevils (3-4) overcome the Tigers.

 

Sherdina Shelton was the defensive hero for the victors drawing a charge and making a clinching steal.

Salem plays Norcom tonight at 6:30 p.m.

Well I am sure alot of girls basketball fans are wondering what happened to Conner Allison? Well so am I! This D1 already signed to highpoint University is setting the bench for the 3-4 cox falcons.I guess the game isn't about winning just politics! Conner, it will be along season but don't worry, you have bigger things ahead! Keep your head up and let the coach be the coach !!!
