Authorities have identified two children and their great-grandmother who died in an apartment fire on Bimini Crossing Thursday night.

Jordin Custodio, 7; Jaida Custodio, 8; and Jeanette Manchion, 72, were found on the second and third floor of a partially-collapsed apartment building, according to Hampton Fire Marshal Anne-Marie Loughran.

Their bodies had been sent to the medical examiner’s office for positive identification. They died from smoke inhalation.

Eight people were injured in the fire, which is still under investigation.

The cause has not been determined, according to Loughran.
