Status 100 percent complete, about $534,843 invoiced through Nov. 2008.

  

Viaduct

$13.6 million

Viaduct construction between Harbor Park and Norfolk State University. Includes a 3,400-foot elevated structure and relocating Holt Street.

 Status 67.6 percent complete, about $9.2 million invoiced through Nov. 2008.

  

East end track

$40.9 million

Norfolk Southern right of way between Norfolk State and Newtown Road. Includes bridges over Broad Creek and Norfolk Southern tracks.

 Status 23 percent complete, about $9.4 million invoiced through Nov. 2008.

  

West end track

$42.4 million

Construction of a light-rail bridge parallel to Brambleton Avenue over Smith Creek is shown. The contract includes laying track from Harbor Park through downtown to the medical complex.

 Status 6.6 percent complete, about $2.8 million invoiced through Nov. 2008.

  

WHAT'S NEXT?

Electrical work

The work will include poles, wires, substations and grade crossings and gates.

Cost $27.7 million

  

Storage site

Light-rail vehicle storage and maintenance facility.

Cost $11 million
