Suffolk Planning Commission to consider CenterPoint development

Posted to: News Suffolk

SUFFOLK

The proposed CenterPoint Properties development is back on the agenda for the Planning Commission’s meeting today.

Commissioners tabled the developer’s rezoning request last month for up to 90 days because they wanted to see a better plan to fund improvements to U.S. 58/Holland Road, which is where the project would be built.

The developer asked to be placed on the December agenda. The company wants to build 5 million square feet of distribution and warehouse space to meet the growing demand from the region’s port traffic.

The planning commission meeting starts at 2 p.m. on the second floor of the municipal building at 441 Market St.
