Chesapeake police find woman's body after report of injury

A woman's body was discovered in Chesapeake this morning after police responded to a report of an injured person.

Police were dispatched to the 2900 block of Wingfield Avenue, near Campostella Road, about 7:11 a.m. today. There, they found the body of a black female, according to Chesapeake police officer specialist Justin Tindall.

The victim has not been identified. The cause of her death remains under investigation.
