Event to focus on fashion, empowerment

A day of fashion and empowerment is planned from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 18 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center, 1610 Coliseum Drive, Hampton. The MyTime Women’s Show will feature shopping and information on health, finance, travel, business and home. Stein Mart also is presenting a fashion show on the main stage. Bridal show to raise funds for breast cancer research

The Uniquely Yours & Style Events Bridal Showcase is scheduled for 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Jan. 18 at the Marriott Norfolk Waterside, 235 E. Main St., Norfolk. Proceeds from the $5 entrance fee will be donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. There is no ticket fee for brides.
