Norfolk police investigating fatal shooting of man

A 30-year-old man was killed Saturday morning after being shot inside a residence in Norfolk.

Police responded to a call of shots being fired in the 400 block of Fenchurch Street at 12:14 a.m. and found the unidentified man suffering from a gunshot wound to his shoulder, Norfolk police spokeswoman Karen Parker-Chesson said.

The victim, described as a black male, was taken by ambulance to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:45 a.m.

No arrests had been made.
