Peninsula police task force conducts drug round-up

A task force including police departments and sheriff's offices from Gloucester, Mathews, Middlesex, York-Poquoson and James City County as well as state and federal officials wrapped up a year-long operation Thursday by arresting 15 people on drug charges.

Two of the people charged are minors and all those whose names were released are residents of Mathews or Gloucester.

Charges include possession with intent to distribute cocaine, heroin, Oxycodone, morphine, Percocet and marijuana.

There were no incidents during the arrests, which began at 6:30 a.m., state police said.
