NORFOLK
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals submitted a racy TV ad to run during the Super Bowl, but NBC rejected it for being too suggestive, according to PETA’s Web site.
The ad features a series of women in bikinis and lingerie interacting with pumpkins, broccoli and asparagus over a pounding hard rock soundtrack and suggests vegetarians have better sex.

If you have to resort to sex......
......your message probably isn't very appealing or interesting on its on merits.
Sex is natural, granted. By why is it used to lure? Why is is portrayed as something sleezy instead of something respectful? Because the people who use sex to gain attention don't care about you or I or those harmed by the continous onsalught of sexualness (which does not resemble the actual relationship that occurs between a man and a woman. It only resembles the evilness of their hearts desires, ensnare others).
People Are Funny
Sex is essential; sex happens daily, even in Norfolk. Why are we so afraid to be suggestive? We are sexual, sensual beings. The free expression of that side of our personalities may well do wonders in forwarding the peace movement.
PETA has created a good number of great, innovative, creative, thought-provoking ads.

"TOO" Racy, not "to"
"PETA Web site says TV ad deemed to racy for Super Bowl"--should be TOO racy...stop relying on spellcheck & proofread your work!!!
Blogsphere
On the Blogsphere, I hear that People Embarrassing the Tidewater Area made the commercial rejection material so they'd get free ads like this (found my info on Digg - can't remember the Blog I was directed to though)
Anyone up for a Sea Kitten (their stupid name for Fish) eating party?
