Enough of this cold, at least for now.
After a couple of frosty weeks today is forecast to be much warmer, with temperatures reaching 70 degrees. However, rain is predicted to continue through the day.
The commute this morning will be foggy and the National Weather Service was warning drivers that visibility will be reduced. As a cold front moves through Hampton Roads later today, thunderstorms are possible and winds could gust up to 40 mph.
By tonight, temperatures will be back down in the 30s, and will remain in the 40s during the day and low 30s and into the 20s at night, the weather service says.
Some areas were being warned of icy road conditions Tuesday night and into the morning.
A small craft advisory was issued this morning along with a gale warning and a wind advisory was issued for the Nags Head and Kill Devil Hills areas.

Virginia Department of Transportation crews began pre-treating Interstate 64 near Williamsburg Tuesday at noon and crews were expected to be on-call overnight to treat icy areas as needed, a VDOT news release said.
Elsewhere in Virginia, three road deaths and scores of wrecks were blamed on the winter storm which pushed through areas north of Hampton Roads.
State police said a Waynesboro man was killed Tuesday morning when his pickup slid off U.S. 340, flipped and was then hit by a truck when it returned to the road.
In Albemarle County, two women were killed Tuesday afternoon when the car they were riding in spun off U.S 29 and struck a tree.
Virginia State Police said icy road conditions were likely to blame in both crashes.
In the Richmond area, state police Sgt. Tom Cunningham said troopers had responded to 90 crashes by 11 a.m. Tuesday.
