The 2009 International Azalea Festival has announced that Capt. Magdalena Dvorakova of the Czech Republic will serve as Queen Azalea.
Dvorakova, an army captain, was in Norfolk today to tour St. Mary’s Home for Disabled Children on Kempsville Circle.
Dvorakova was to read to some of the children during her tour, which began at 10 a.m., a news release from St. Mary’s said.
Dvorakova works in the Military Office of Vaclav Klaus, president of the Czech Republic, the release said. She is the second military service member on active duty to serve as queen of the annual festival, which begins in April.
St. Mary’s provides long-term care to children and young adults with severe disabilities.

Another fine job
in reporting. Instead of running a photo of the latest "queen", you run an ad. Par for the course.

There are legal considerations that we must adhere to when taking photos from other people's web sites. Once we clear those or we get our own photographs, we will post them.
