Arrest made in Virginia Beach comedy club shooting death

VIRGINIA BEACH

A man has been arrested in a fatal shooting at a comedy club, police said today.

Markese Ventrell Costict, 20, of Norfolk, was in custody and charged with shooting a man after a fight broke out at the Virginia House of Comedy on Virginia Beach Boulevard early Monday, police spokesman Adam Bernstein said.

The victim, 33-year-old Neal Eugene Williams of Chesapeake, died in surgery after being taken to Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital.
