Bly awaits a new destination
The NFL's upcoming free-agency period just got a lot more interesting for Chesapeake's Dre' Bly, who suddenly finds himself a free agent after being released last week by the Denver Broncos.
Bly, 31, didn't reveal much about his plans or wishes when contacted by e-mail Saturday. Bly, who is seventh in interceptions (40) among active players, said only that he will be patient and wait to see what offers come his way when the free-agency period starts Feb. 27. It will be interesting to see whether the Redskins rekindle their interest, depending, of course, on where they end up with trying to re-sign DeAngelo Hall. But the Redskins were known to have discussed a trade for Bly a couple seasons ago.
