Chesapeake supplier sold to Wisconsin-based distributor

A Wisconsin-based distributor of roofing and exterior building materials announced this week it has acquired a Chesapeake construction supplies company with two stores in the region.

ABC Supply Co. Inc., which is based in Beloit, Wis., and operates nearly 380 stores nationwide, purchased Chesapeake Siding and Roofing, which has stores in Chesapeake and Jarvisburg, N.C.

ABC also has stores in Norfolk and Newport News. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed in a news release. The local firm's 15 workers will remain with the company.
