NORFOLK
A generator inside a house caused a fire Thursday night in the 900 block of Marietta Ave., west of Norview High School, the Norfolk fire department said.
The fire started about 10:30 p.m. The generator was close to combustible materials inside the house, which started the fire, said Battalion Chief Harry Worley of Norfolk Fire-Rescue.
The owners had moved out earlier in the day, the fire department said.
