Norfolk police on Friday identified a suspect in the fatal shooting of a man in East Ocean View on Thursday night.
Police said they are looking for Juan Badillo-Parra, 33, who they said is "armed and dangerous" and known to hang out in East Ocean View.
Angry words between two men in the 1300 block of E. Ocean View Ave. escalated into the homicide Thursday night, police said.
The men were arguing about 7 p.m. when one pulled a gun and shot the other, police said. The victim was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he died about 8 p.m.
His name has not been released.
"At this time we're not releasing any information about the victim," said Karen Parker-Chesson, a police department spokeswoman.
