A 15-year-old Independence Middle School student faces expulsion after he allegedly poured a laxative into a teacher’s drink on Tuesday.
The boy, who is not being identified because of his age, was charged with a misdemeanor count of adulteration of food and drink. He was released to his parents, according to police spokeswoman Margie Long.
The incident took place Tuesday afternoon at the school on Dunstan Lane. The teacher, who drank some of the Castor oil before noticing the strange taste, was taken to the hospital and later released, Long said.
