A Norfolk teen was ordered Monday to serve 16 years in prison for his role in an armed robbery and burglary last year.

Judge William “Buster” O’Brien sentenced Deontay Rae’Shad Hall to 33 years but suspended 17 years. Hall, now 18, is scheduled to be sentenced in Norfolk next month, where he was convicted of carjacking, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and conspiracy.

Those crimes were committed on Feb. 17, 2008 – the same day he committed the armed robbery in Virginia Beach.
