Teen Speak: Do you listen to classic rock? If so, which bands?

We asked students at Hickory High School in Chesapeake:

 

Do you listen to classic rock? If so, which bands?

"Yes, mainly Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, definitely Jimi Hendrix, Lenny Kravitz. "

"No, because I listen to just the recent music, like recent rap and stuff."
-Marcus Twyman, 15, sophomore

 

"I do listen to classic rock. My favorite would have to be the Rolling Stones and Aerosmith. I'll listen to them if I'm in the mood to listen to them, but other than that, I'll listen to alternative and rap."
-Cara Verdeschi, 17, junior

Classic Rock

I listen to more classic rock than any other type of music. My hands-down favorite band ever is Aerosmith. I also like AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, Eagles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, and Steve Miller Band. Pretty much anything, basically.

... I thought modern music was the best. Classic rock was for old people.
