TV on the Radio on TV

Everyone's favorite intellectual rockers TV on the Radio will hit up your TV screens in the coming days. (I'll resist highlighting the irony; I'm out of bon mot at the moment.)

On Saturday, they'll be on "SNL," and on Monday, "The Colbert Report." Ostensibly that visit will to be to perform though it would not surprise me one iota if they're there to discuss foreign policy or reveal they have insider knowledge about waterboarding or UFOs. I'm going to tune in just to see if any one of these serious, intimidatingly smart musicians even cracks a smile during the broadcast.

Also, from release:

TV on the Radio will take the road once again in 2009, appearing at both Coachella and Bonnaroo, followed by a U.S. and European tour that will run all the way through August. In the meantime, iTunes will release an exclusive TV on the Radio remix EP on February 17th and the band will continue its mysterious webisode series with installments five and six set to appear on screens at this year’s South By Southwest in March.

Say it ain't so, Malcolm
