A couple has been charged with felony child neglect and contributing to the delinquency of a minor after two children were left home alone, police said.
According to police, the children, a 6-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl, were left alone at 7 a.m. on Jan. 26. The boy told authorities at his school of the situation about 3 p.m. that day.
Police went to the home and found the girl asleep.
The mother, Julie Hammock, is charged with felony child neglect and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Clinton Harris is charged with two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to police.
