HAMPTON
The Hampton Jazz Festival, the concert series in its 42nd year, announced its lineup for this year’s shows Monday.
On Friday, June 26, at 7:30 p.m., performers will include singer-songwriter Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds; acclaimed guitarist George Benson; singer Ledisi; and Jazz Attack, a group that includes Rick Braun, Jonathan Butler and Richard Elliott.
The June 27 concert, at 7 p.m., will feature the O’Jays, Michael McDonald, American Idol star Fantasia and the Forte Jazz Band, a group from Hampton Roads.
The festival concludes at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 28, with performances from Patti LaBelle, Robin Thicke, Washington D.C. legend Chuck Brown - known as the King of “go-go” music - and Keiko Matsui.
Tickets for the Hampton Jazz Festival are $52.20 a show and go on sale through Ticketmaster Saturday at 10 a.m. More information about the festival can be found at www.hamptonjazzfestival.com.
