An open casting call will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 7, 2009, at the TCC Chesapeake campus, 1428 Cedar Road, for Tidewater Community College's 2009 Shakespeare In the Grove.
Auditions are for this summer's inaugural production of "Macbeth."
All prospective actors will asked to deliver a memorized Shakespeare monologue or passage of no more than one minute in length.
The play opens June 24 and will run through June 28 at the Chesapeake campus' outdoor Grove Theater on Cedar Road. It then travels to Downtown Norfolk where it plays July 2 and 3 at the Jeanne & George Roper Performing Arts Center, 340 Granby St.
Roles are open to anyone in Hampton Roads. Annually casts include high school drama teachers, college and high school students, adults and children.
