Mike Huckabee to raise cash for McDonnell in Va. Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH

Mike Huckabee, the former governor of Arkansas and a GOP presidential candidate in 2008, will be in Virginia Beach on Tuesday to raise money for Bob McDonnell’s campaign for governor.

Huckabee also will join McDonnell at fundraisers in Roanoke and Bristol on Monday, according to the McDonnell campaign.

McDonnell, a Republican, is on a campaign kickoff tour. The Beach fundraiser is to be held at the Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront.

McDonnell, former state legislator and former state attorney general, is running unopposed for the Republican nomination in the November election.
