NORFOLK
The city will choose an interim commonwealth’s attorney today in a special election.
Residents will choose between prosecutor Greg Underwood and criminal defense attorney John Coggeshall.
The winner of today’s election will serve as the city’s top prosecutor until a successor is chosen in November for a full term.
The post was vacated last year by Jack Doyle, who was appointed as a judge in Norfolk Circuit Court.

it returned nothing this morning
I just checked it again and got a variety of hits. My bad I guess? I checked both names this morning and came up with nothing.
C'mon Rainman, don't blame
C'mon Rainman, don't blame the Pilot because you have not done your homework. There has been a decent amount of coverage in the press, though there could always be more. Plus, both candidates have been hitting the Norfolk Civic League circuit very heavily for months. And don't they both have websites? Please, take responsibility for vote and educate yourself.

I did a search under both names and came up with multiple results for both.
However, Greg Underwood is the only viable candidate for the job. John's a nice guy, but certainly under qualified to be the head of one of the largest Commonwealth Attorney's offices in the state. There are approximately 100 staff in the CWA's office. John used to be a one man band and now is a sole practitioner with one secretary, who has never prosecuted a case.
nice job pilot
a search of this site on either candidate returns nothing. I know you did a story on them a few days ago. Way to keep the people informed! Ill bet I could find the scores for a basketball game. I guess you want us to vote base on our feelings. Better yet for the first name you call out as I am willing to bet he's the democrat...
