PORTSMOUTH

Groups interested in participating in the 125th annual Memorial Day Parade should contact City Clerk Debra White's office by Monday.

White's office determines whether people are eligible to participate in the parade. Participants typically include Girl and Boy Scout troops, military units, and high school marching bands, White said.

"We're really focusing on honoring the veterans and making it a solemn occasion," White said.

The parade is set for May 25. Details: (757) 393-8639.
