Ocean Lakes 3, Tallwood 2

Winning pitcher Liz Riley delivered a walk-off double to score Aisha Figueroa as the No. 2 Dolphins (12-1, 9-1) increased their Beach District lead over the third-ranked Lions (11-4, 8-3).

Riley (8-1) tossed a two-hitter, besting Mariah Stubbs (11-4), who yielded three hits to open the decisive seventh.

Abby Lahey’s RBI double in the sixth pulled Ocean Lakes into a 2-2 tie.

Isle of Wight 1, Portsmouth Christian 0

The Chargers scored in the bottom of the seventh inning to hand Portsmouth Christian its first Metro Conference loss .

BASEBALL

Greenbrier Christian 11, Norfolk Collegiate 2

Mike Olivo, Sammy Serafine and Eddie Butler each had three hits for the top-ranked Gators, who are one win away from clinching the TCIS crown.

GIRLS TENNIS

Beach District tournament

First Colonial’s Alex Ritter, the defending district champion cruised to 6-0, 6-0 singles victories. Ocean Lakes’ Kathleen Dawson, last season’s runner-up, also coasted to a pair of wins.

BOYS TENNIS

Eastern District tournament

Maury’s Kyle Moore began the defense of his singles crown with a pair of easy wins, dropping just one game.

Moore and teammate Noel Flemmer opened the doubles tournament with a 6-0, 6-0 victory.

GIRLS SOCCER

StoneBridge 5, Portsmouth Christian 2

Anna Curfman scored four goals to pace the Cavaliers to a Metro Conference victory.

Atlantic Shores 6, Alliance 0

Caitlyn Cassasa and Devon Douthett each scored two goals to lead the Seahawks.

Norfolk Academy 3, Peninsula Catholic 1

Three players scored as the Bulldogs remained unbeaten in Tidewater Conference play.

Norfolk Academy (9-1, 6-0 TCIS), ranked second in South Hampton Roads, moved to No. 1 in the latest Virginia Independent Schools Division I poll. BOYS SOCCER

The Truckers rallied from a 2-0 halftime deficit to deadlock a game between two teams unbeaten in Eastern District play.

Granby meets Maury – also unbeaten in the district – at 7 p.m. Friday at Powhatan Field.
