Segal posts hat trick in Admirals' victory

Brandon Segal tallied three straight goals before the midway point of the game to lead the Norfolk Admirals past the Binghamton Senators 6-1 Friday night at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Segal's outburst gave the Admirals (32-38-4-5) a 4-0 lead. Justin Keller scored Norfolk's first and last goals. John Swanson had Norfolk's other tally.

Craig Kowalski made 29 saves to backstop the Admirals' win.

Derek Smith spoiled his shutout bid with a shorthanded goal at 11:07 of the second period.

The Admirals will play their final contest of the season at 7:05 tonight at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
