The murder trial for a city youth is under way in Chesapeake Circuit Court in last summer's fatal shooting of Lonnie Andrews Jr.
Marvin Knight Jr., who was 17 at the time, is being prosecuted as an adult. He is accused of shooting Andrews on July 1 in South Norfolk during an altercation.
Andrews, 18, had graduated from Oscar Smith High and planned to attend Virginia State University on an athletic scholarship.
