Cape Henry 6, St. Christopher’s 5

Corey Mavromatis connected with Mike Maroon from behind the cage and he deposited the game-winner in the lower left corner of the net as the Dolphins needed an extra period to defeat St. Christopher’s.

Maroon finished with two goals.

Salem’s Kharlton Belnar scored on a second-chance opportunity off a corner kick in the last minute of regulation to force overtime. Paul Braunstein finished a left-side cross from Hunter Byrnes two minutes into the extra period, improving the Falcons to 5-0-1.

Bulldogs goalie Krissy Gorsline had two saves on breakaways en route to her second shutout of the season as the Crusaders (8-1, 1-1) suffered their first loss.

Carter Tata led the Bulldogs (3-1, 1-0) with two goals.
