VIRGINIA BEACH

Police are searching for two people who robbed a store and shot a puppy, according to a police news release.

Before 10 p.m. Sunday, two people entered an open bay door at GFY Clothing, a screenprinting business in the 500 block of S. Birdneck Road. Employees were working on the press machine when the men ordered them to the ground and took personal items from the employees’ pockets, the release said.

When the men were leaving the business, one of them shot a 10-month-old pit bull puppy that was inside the room, the release said. The puppy is recovering at a veterinary hospital and is in stable condition.

The two are described as black males about 22 to 26 years old and about 5 feet 10 inches tall to 6 feet tall. One is described as having a dark complexion, and both were last seen wearing dark-colored bandanas and dark clothing.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Virginia Beach Crime Solvers Office at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
