TCIS tournament final

Norfolk Academy 15, Nansemond-Suffolk 6

Junior midfielder Carter Moore again dominated faceoffs, winning 17 of 22 for the Tidewater Conference champion Bulldogs (17-4) en route to earning tournament offense MVP recognition.

Nansemond-Suffolk sophomore goalkeeper T.J. White was the defensive MVP.

Bishop Sullivan 15, Nansemond-Suffolk 6

Caitlin Murphy totaled five goals and Lauren Wohner added four goals and three assists as the Crusaders (15-0) won their first Tidewater Conference tournament title.

It was the 100th victory for coach Patty Nelson.

Katie Bonney scored in the first half and the Knights handed the Falcons (10-1-2) their first loss.

Kellam also had a little help from Cox, which netted an own goal in the second half.

Senior Lizzy Callahan had two goals and two assists to lead the Patriots romp past the Stallions.

Salem 3, Tallwood 1

G—S, Hunnicutt, McChesney, Walton; T— Butler.

Salem earned its second district win as sophomore goalie Emilee Walton took a shutout into the final minute of the game.

Carter Tata and Brittany Morris both scored in the first 10 minutes, leading the Bulldogs (17-1) to the Tidewater Conference tournament championship.

Norfolk Academy outshot the Crusaders 20-2.
