Gov. Timothy M. Kaine will speak tonight at Old Dominion University on his Renew Virginia initiative on energy and environmental policy.
The speech, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Webb Center, is free and open to the public. It is the latest in a series of lectures on environmental issues called the Blue Planet Forum.
Seating is limited, so organizers at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation ask that would-be attendees RSVP online at www.cbf.org/blueplanet, via e-mail to blueplanet@cbf.org, or by calling (757) 622-1964.
ODU asks attendees to park in the 49th Street Garage on campus, and the governor's staff requests audience members be in their seats by 6:45 p.m.
The Blue Planet Forum is sponsored by the Bay foundation, ODU, Nauticus and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Vague title
The title for this article is really vague. For those that don't know, the purpose of the talk tonight was about cleanup efforts in the chesapeake bay. This wasn't about broad-scale environmental issues. Though, in full disclosure, I did not attend and some broader issues may have been raised, but all the same it wasn't the purpose for the event.
Bet on it..
I'm sure both sides of the alleged 'global warming' issue will be discussed! 'Ya think?
real green
The governor traveling the state touting green issues is akin to the president traveling the country on earth day, burning 9000 gallons of jet fuel to promote green issues. Do as I say, not as I do.
Stay in Richmond
Hopefully he will hit every pothole he has not fixed on I64 on his way into Norfolk. Also, maybe he will have to sit in a 7 mile traffic jam. Oh, I forgot, he will probably take the helicopter to avoid any of the mess he created.
Plenty
No, we have plenty of facts to know what a poor and self serving job Kaine is doing.
Go Kaine!!!!!!!
Thank you for making efforts to save our environment and help turn the economy around with more green jobs! Its real easy to criticize politicians without any facts, lets try to be more constructive than that.
What!!
And the Idiot speaks!
That's what we need
That's all we need is a lawyer speaking on scientific issues.
Discuss?
'Discuss environmental issues' or preach his version of environmental issues?
