Video: NASA prepares for lift-off.
Brian Clark | The Virginian-Pilot

Tonight’s the night.

If the weather holds out, the Minotaur I will launch a series of cutting-edge satellites from Wallops Island on the Eastern Shore using rocket motors from Cold War-era Minuteman missiles.

Think of it as the past meeting the future at more than 16,000 miles per hour.

Hold on tight.
