A member of the entourage of rap singer Snoop Dogg was arrested and questioned Tuesday concerning an intercepted package of suspected marijuana at the Norfolk Plaza Hotel - formerly the Radisson Hotel Norfolk - a police spokeswoman said today.
The person, not named by police, gave a statement but was not formally charged, said Karen Parker-Chesson, the spokeswoman. Police originally reported Tuesday that the person was arrested on a misdemeanor marijuana possession charge.
The singer wasn't involved, Parker-Chesson said. Snoop Dogg was in town for a concert Tuesday night at The NorVa.

know where some of you live & grew up but it must be Mars or something if you're actually unaware that police officers often approach young people & question them & more, for no apparent reason. As a young man( even while serving as an LEO), I got stopped, questioned & more, on several occasions, for no or some made up reason. It didn't matter whether I was driving, riding my bike, walking or jogging. I was even stopped & questioned as I was adjusting the blade height on my lawn mower once, in my own front lawn. I've always dressed conservatively, wore my hair at reasonable lengths & conservative styles.

Why was he searched?
Theres got to be more to this story. The cops don't just come up to you and search you without reason. Were they called to investigate? was there a loud party, someone in the hotel smelling marijauana, why were the police there at this particular time? What I'm getting at is if say you or i are just walking down the street with a quarter bag in our pocket and get stopped and searched. Unless the officer has x ray vision or the smell of a dog he'd have to have a reason to stop us because he wouldn't have known it was there..basically he wouldn't have stopped us... So unless they were called for something this guys going to get off.....Which I'm all for misdemeanor posession really isn't much pot.....Sounds like entrapment if there wasn't any probable cause or reason for them being there....Pilot please report more...Thank you.
