Actors sought for theater, film auditions in Va. Beach

William Dean and playwright Mike Myers are holding joint auditions for theater and an independent film, "Gutter," from 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the Virginia Beach Resort Hotel and Conference Center, at 2800 Shore Drive.

They are looking for actors of all types and experience levels for "A Father's Legacy," "Cam Ranh Bay," "The Bungalo at the Beach," Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet," and the political satire "It's All Political" at Generic Theater and Waterside in Norfolk, the Smithfield One-Act Play Festival, and Shakespeare-by-the-Sea.

Performances will take place in July and August.
