Dorta's slam fuels Tides to 6-1 victory over Lehigh Valley

Norfolk's Melvin Dorta hit a fifth-inning grand slam Monday night to power the Tides to a 6-1 victory over the Lehigh Valley IronPigs at Coca-Cola Park.

Jolbert Cabrera and Brandon Snyder each had two hits for the Tides, while Michael Aubrey doubled and scored a run.

Righthander Andy Mitchell (5-2) allowed six hits and one run in six innings to get the win. Ross Wolf and Jim Miller pitched three shutout innings of relief.

The teams conclude their four-game series at 7:05 tonight.
