Fort Eustis soldiers leave for Kuwait

The 97th Transportation Company (Heavy Boat) from Fort Eustis is scheduled to deploy Wednesday, the Army announced.

Unit size About 35 soldiers

Leader Chief Warrant Officer Kyle Darling, senior vessel master, and Chief Warrant Officer Bryce Buckley, junior vessel master

Location of deployment Kuwait

Deployed June 10

Return Expected 12-month deployment

Mission The soldiers will support naval operations in the waters of the Persian Gulf, manning two landing craft utility vessels.
