Gray wolf pups make first appearance at Busch Gardens

A pair of gray wolf pups made their first public appearance Friday at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, according to Busch Gardens Communications.

"They're happy and growing strong," said Jay Tacey, manager of zoological operations at Busch Gardens. "We hope they help our guests understand and appreciate the important role of wolves, one of North America's few remaining large predators."

The recently adopted pups, born in April, will initially be located in Jack Hanna's Wild Reserve "Wolf Haven." They will eventually be moved to the "Wolf Valley" habitat and participate in daily educational presentations.
