In Hampton, Wright says 'Jews' keeping him from Obama

HAMPTON

President Barack Obama's controversial former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, is blaming "them Jews" for keeping him from speaking to the president.

Wright, the former pastor of Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ, said he hasn't spoken to Obama since he became president.

"Them Jews ain't going to let him talk to me. I told my baby daughter that he'll talk to me in five years when he's a lame duck, or in eight years when he's out of office," Wright told the Daily Press of Newport News following a Tuesday night sermon at the 95th annual Hampton University Ministers' Conference.

"They will not let him to talk to somebody who calls a spade what it is. ... I said from the beginning: He's a politician; I'm a pastor. He's got to do what politicians do."

Obama was a longtime member of the church but resigned from it and cut ties with Wright after videos surfaced during the presidential campaign showing Wright's sometimes provocative sermons. Wright's incendiary comment included shouting "God damn America" and accusing the government of creating AIDS.

In the interview Tuesday, Wright also criticized Obama for not sending a U.S. delegation to the World Conference on Racism held recently in Geneva, Switzerland, saying Obama chose not to for fear of offending Jews and Israel.

"Ethnic cleansing is going on in Gaza. Ethnic cleansing (by) the Zionist is a sin and a crime against humanity, and they don't want Barack talking like that because that's anti-Israel," Wright said.

The White House declined to comment to the Associated Press on Thursday on Wright's remarks. A phone message left by the AP at Wright's home wasn't immediately returned.

Obama knew

BO knows and knew exactly what "Rev" (I use the term loosely) Wright espouses/ed. Amazing how he distanced himself when it became politically expedient.

Keeping us down

It used to be The Man keeping the black man down.

But now a Black Man is in the White House, he is The Man.

So we have to find another excuse.

Now it is the Jews keeping the black man down.

More excuses, more blame shifting, more lack of responsibility.

re: no marym63204, the Pilot didn't "miss"

this story. As w/ most anything that might implicate BHO or the Dems or cast either in a negative light, they merely chose to ignore it.

Obviously, something or someone motivated or shamed them into finally running it when they did.

Thanks, George--he answered for me, Carolyn!

Some folks have gone on a rant on-line in the comments about the Holocaust Museum shooting and have called that nut a far right terrorist. Surely he is a terrorist, but not from either side, per se.
We know that totalitarianism is generally called communism when it goes to the left and fascism when it goes to the right. So people try to connect Holocaust denial to Adolf Hitler, fascism, and the right.
It doesn't work. After all, I was born ten years after World War II to a Republican presidency that would not have claimed any relationship to Adolf Hitler's regime nor beliefs. In a Republic, you really can't connect those dots. Even Roosevelt and Truman would not have put Republicans and fascists in the same camp, but our nation was not nearly so divided back then.

Remarks by "Rev" Wright

Well,I have to tell you, that if a White Person had said what he did,the NAAP, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, would be down here marching down the street yelling racism. The wonderful thing about this country is slowly disappearing and that is "Freedom of Speech". You better be Politically
Correct,or you are the one who catches the heat for what you say. Well, I gotta tell you, I AIN'T POLITICALLY CORRECT!! Wright is RACIST, and is no different then the 88 year old White man who walked in that building and shot and killed the Black security guard. The guard did what he was paid to do (probably minimum wage) and lost his life. My sympathy to his family.
As one poster noted, there are NUT CASES on all sides, Black, White, Jew,
Arab, who believe they are right. People are starting to get the idea
that this country is going the wrong way,and its citizens are the best
armed nation in the world. Ammo is sold out in Utah, North Dakota,South
Dakota, from what I heard. Folks, we have to wake up and smell the coffee
before it's to late. This is your country too!

Hate at the Pulpit

Get used to it. The lunatic fringe is starting to organize and soon you will see the same radical terroristic behavior, that we now see in the middle east, from many of our own here is this country. Nutballs are organizing everywhere, and it only takes one individual on their own to do a lot of damage. You/We/Us, all have to become vigilant in our actions. When we see and suspect something we have to report it to the proper authorities. Are you prepared to allow our great country to become as radicalized as fractionalized as other countries are now? As much as I hate to say it, religion has been the reason for many wars. We need to remove religion from our government. We need to stop allowing organizations forming that serve only one race, ethnic background. It just serves to fractionalize this nation. When we count people, that is what we should be counting, not blacks, whites, lutherans, babtists, whatever. We are here to help and grow together, not seperate. Renounce stupidy and radicalism.

WOW! Where are all you people...

who were lambasting Huckabee and Gingrich just LAST WEEK! Come on now! Or does the FACT that he is an Uhbama supporter negate your principles causing you have a double standard? I say "God Bless America" and help us ALL to be consistent!

There was no need for the cursing Mr Editor

The Pilot editor who approved this article violated the rules the rest of us on here are forced to obey. It wasn't necessary to spell out that curse Wright uttered. May God have mercy on the writer's soul and the editor's soul too that allowed that curse to be published. FYI Mr Editor: As surely as God hears our pleas for him to bless people he hears those who curse as well.

" No content that is obscene, vulgar or sexually explicit. This includes masked words (****), acronyms and abbreviations" PRACTICE what you preach Mr Editor.

This guy proves it . . .

Denying the Holocaust is neither a conservative nor a liberal thing to do. Just a crazy thing to do. Lunatic fringe. But let's not categorize this type of evil as left or right. Just as evil.

Marry?

Not a left or right issue? Who on the right denies the Halocaust. I am not saying there is no one. I just want to know who it is so I can research it.
