The intersections of Duke and Bute streets and Duke and York streets will close Friday through Tuesday for utility work for light rail.

Dominion Virginia Power will relocate manholes and underground duct banks.

Motorists are urged to use Brambleton Avenue to Botetourt Street and Boush Street to College Place.

Access to the Residence Inn by Marriott, the York Street garage, and the parking lot for Freemason businesses adjacent to Monticello Antiques will be maintained from Brambleton Avenue.

that noise

that wasn't construction noise. It was the vacuum attached to your wallet. This turkey sucks money down like no other.....

I don't know about that.....

Seems like the flock of turkeys in DC are sucking all of us a lot drier than LRT ever will....

Construction Times Must be Observed

As nearby residents, we were told by the city that construction will start at 7AM and end at 10PM for underground work. Last night workers contined way past 10PM. We would appreciate the contractors observing the time frame. The noise factor of digging, construction equipment, and general heavy construction work is quite loud and is heard through out the West Freemason neighborhood. Yes, we do have to sleep!
If this continues we will contact our civic league and city officials.
Thank you!

Interested

Sure curious if that works out. Your mayor has LRT stars in his eyes, and taxpayer wallets in his hands, I find it hard to believe he could care less what impact this would have on the quality of life of citizens.

Good luck!

haha

haha... maybe that's how "the city" talks.

Excuse me, what?

"The are will be closed from eat of the BB&T drive-through entrance "

Does anyone at the pilot proof read what they type before they post?
