N.C. boy killed when run over by neighbor's vehicle

A 7-year-old boy was killed Sunday in Buxton when a neighbor ran over him with his vehicle as he was backing out of his driveway, police said.

Caesar Ramirez, who lived on Nace Jennette Lane, was pronounced dead at 9:20 p.m.by Dr. Robert Rihld at a Hatteras Island medical clinic, according to the North Carolina Highway Patrol.

The neighbor accidentally struck the boy about 6:30 p.m., according to the Highway Patrol. They did not say whether he was charged with a crime or what vehicle he was driving.
