A man being sought in connection with the shooting death of an apartment complex employee was arrested this morning.
Eric Roundtree was arrested about 12:20 a.m. at Portsmouth Police Headquarters, according to Detective John Doyle, police spokesman. Investigators had a warrant on file charging Roundtree, 39, with murder. Roundtree lives in Elizabeth City, N.C.
Kevin B. Vass, 36, was shot and killed Thursday morning at an apartment complex in the 2500 block of Oakleaf Place, Doyle said. Vass was a maintenance employee at the complex.
There was no known motive for the homicide, police said.
