Starting times set for some U.Va., Tech football games

The ACC released several early-season kickoff times for this fall's football season, five of them involving Virginia Tech games and three for Virginia.

The Hokies are locked in to start the season at 8 p.m. on ABC Sept. 5 in Atlanta against Alabama. They'll also play at 1:30 p.m. on ESPN360.com Sept. 12 at home against Marshall, at 3:30 p.m. on ABC/

ESPN2 Sept. 19 at home against Nebraska, at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN Oct. 29 at home against North Carolina, and at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN Nov. 5 at East Carolina.

The Cavaliers are set to kick off the season at 6 p.m. on ESPN360.com Sept. 5 at home against William and Mary. They play at 3:30 p.m. on ESPNU Sept. 12 at home against Texas Christian, and at 3:30 p.m. on CBS Sept. 19 at Southern Mississippi.

Other notable early games include: Baylor at Wake Forest, 3:30 p.m. on ABC/ESPN2 Sept. 5; Maryland at Cal, 10 p.m. on ESPN2 Sept. 5; Miami at Florida State, 8 p.m. on ESPN Sept. 7; Florida State at BYU, 7 p.m. on Versus Sept. 19.
