Swimming advisory lifted in Hyde County, N.C.

SWAN QUARTER, N.C.

A swimming advisory for a sound-side swimming area in Hyde County was lifted today.

The advisory had been posted in an area of Swan Quarter Bay at the end of the dock on State Road 1136 in Swan Quarter on June 11, according to a news release from the state Division of Environmental Health.

Bacterial levels have dropped below the state and Environmental Protection Agency’s standards set for swimming and play, the news release said.
